Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a hardworking Tree Trimmer for outdoor utility line clearance work across our service areas.

You will trim trees, prune treetops, and remove hazards for major electric utilities, using chainsaws, chippers, and lifts, as part of a crew. We offer paid time off, health benefits, 401(k), advancement opportunities and training through our industry-leading program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL preferred depending on job requirements.
• Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire; certificates and licenses if necessary.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Prunes treetops, repairs damaged trees by trimming or removal and removes broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
• Maintains, prepares and operates all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundman and Crew Foreman.
