Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to operate in Akron, OH and nearby towns. You will prune and remove trees for major electric utilities, climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, and work outdoors with a crew.

This full-time hourly role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and 401k with company match, starting on Day 1.

Qualifications

Love of the outdoors.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred: CDL-A or CDL-B with Air Brake Endorsement.
Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

Prune and remove trees for major electric utility providers.
Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
Operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts.
Work as an active crew member with the foreperson and ground crew.
