Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a dynamic utility tree trimmer to join our outdoor team in Jacksonville, FL. Work involves climbing, pruning, and removing trees for major utility providers, with training provided and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Preferred CDL-Class A or B with Airbrake.
• Experience in line clearance or other tree work.
• Pesticide licenses/certifications as required by state law.
• ISA Certified Arborist®, Tree Worker® or TCIA Safety Professional® preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for utility providers.
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson.
