Job summary

Concord Utility Services is hiring Water Meter Specialists in Anne Arundel County, MD for an entry-level outdoor field role. You will survey, install, remove, and program smart water meters at residential properties with paid training provided.

No previous water or utility experience is required; we’ll train you. This full-time position offers health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical fieldwork including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Previous experience is a plus, but NOT required. Experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, utilities, maintenance, field service, or other hands-on work is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and program smart water meters.
• Travel between residential locations to complete assigned work orders.
• Use a Work Order Management System (WOMS) and handheld devices to document completed work.
• Replace or repair meter boxes, lids, fittings, and related equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
• Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
