Job summary

Concord Utility Services is seeking an entry-level Water Meter Specialist to join our field operations in Anne Arundel County, MD. This outdoor role involves surveying, water meter installs/removals, and programming smart meters at residential properties.

No prior water or utility experience is required—we provide paid training. You'll work in a fast-paced team, travel between locations, and uphold safety procedures while delivering quality service.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical fieldwork, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Prev ious water or utility experience is a plus, but NOT required.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and program smart water meters.
• Travel between residential locations to complete assigned work orders.
• Use a Work Order Management System (WOMS) and handheld devices to document completed work.
• Replace or repair meter boxes, lids, fittings, and related equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and supervisors.
• Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Work independently while contributing to a team environment.
