Job summary

USIC is seeking field technicians to locate underground utilities across multiple sectors, ensuring safe excavation and accurate markouts. No prior locating experience is required, but experienced locators are encouraged to apply.

A robust training program, company-provided vehicle, and comprehensive benefits are included. These roles are on-site in Albany, GA, involving outdoor work, driving a company vehicle, and meeting daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with technology required.
• Pass a drug screen; safety-sensitive position.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, marking the location, completing documentation, and photographing each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with potential overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
