Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor, safety‑minded individuals for full‑time locator positions in the Atlanta area. You will locate and mark underground utilities, perform documentation, and work with our field tech team using a company vehicle.

No prior locating experience is required, though experienced locators are encouraged to apply. We offer a comprehensive training program, a path for advancement, and a broad benefits package including healthcare, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints and reference them accurately.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing documentation, and photographing each locate.
