Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Ohio seeks an experienced Trimmer for utility line clearance, based in Cuyahoga Falls. On-site role with potential CDL considerations, performing pruning/removal on utility trees and coordinating with crew.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and willingness to work outdoors in various weather.
• Valid driver’s license is required; CDL preferred for some roles.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree orientation and safety trainings on hire.
• Line clearance/tree work experience is preferred.
• State pesticide licenses may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems when needed.
• Perform pruning and removal work safely for utility providers.
• Trim treetops and remove damaged limbs from structures and lines.
• Operate tools and equipment: chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Coordinate with ground crew and foreperson to complete jobs.

Skills

Valid driver’s license

CDL Class A/B with Air Brake Endorse.

Line clearance/tree work experience

Pesticide licenses (if required)
