Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to support our utility line clearance team serving the Greater Akron region. CDL holder preferred, safety programs completed on hire.

The role involves field tree work near power lines, with opportunities for growth within a large, employee-owned company. Work is on-site, outdoors, and requires climbing, trunk pruning, and equipment operation.

Qualifikationen

• Must be outdoors-friendly and physically fit.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving upon hire.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Tree Worker®, or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional®

Aufgaben

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Prune treetop limbs and remove or trim trees in close proximity to utilities.
• Remove damaged limbs from lines, roofs, and other structures.
• Identify trees and apply industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Coordinate with crew and foreperson on job tasks.

Kenntnisse

Valid driver’s license

CDL preferred

ISA Arborist cert
