Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to work in outdoor environments across diverse terrains. You will engage with utility clients and property owners to plan vegetation control, perform inventories, and ensure safe, compliant work practices.

The role emphasizes independent fieldwork, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel. ISA arborist certification can be pursued within 12 months of offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field requested.
• ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data including tree species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Verify data across databases and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices.
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
