Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. seeks a Consulting Utility Forester to manage vegetation for utility clients across diverse landscapes. The role is primarily outside, coordinating with property owners and contractors to ensure safe, compliant vegetation practices.

You will conduct inventories, hazard assessments, and data collection, while supporting capital projects and enforcing safety standards. ISA certifications and travel to job sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance.
• ISA Certified Arborist Certification is required.
• Ongoing certification milestones (ISA Utility Specialist within 6 months, Pesticide license within 6 months).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning/removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Responsible for capital projects.
• Conduct regular safety audits.
• Gather and manage field data (species, size, distance from conductors).
• Verify that summaries and charts reflect datasets.
