Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months; valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning/removals
• Conduct tree and brush inventories
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations
• Plan work for tree contractors
• Gather and manage field data (tree species, size, distance from conductors)
• Validate data across databases for reporting accuracy
• Verify summaries and charts reflect underlying data
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices
• Carry and utilize materials and equipment at work sites
• Service trucks and equipment and keep them orderly
• Possibility of some outside travel; on-call during emergencies or disasters
