Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. seeks a Consulting Utility Forester to work outdoors, coordinating with utility clients, property owners, and contractors.

You will conduct vegetation inventories and hazard assessments, plan contractor work, and ensure safe, compliant vegetation management across diverse landscapes. The role emphasizes field data collection, data validation, and strong safety practices in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; ISA certification encouraged.
• Experience with utility line clearance and field data collection.
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning/removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data including species, size, distance from conductors.
• Validate data across databases for accurate reporting.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards and enforce safety.
