Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic outdoor professionals for a Consulting Utility Forester role. You will identify and inspect trees along utility lines and report findings with recommendations.

The job includes planning crews, coordinating access, and acting as a liaison among clients, crews, and customers. The role requires forestry or related degree, GIS/Office skills, and strong communication. A valid driver’s license is essential; ISA Arborist certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two or four year forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources degree or related field.
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• GIS experience with data collection software is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and production oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage a geographic area for vegetation activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.

Education

Forestry or Environmental Science degree

High school diploma plus two years of UVM experience
