Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to manage vegetation for utility clients across diverse landscapes. The role is outdoors, combining field work with data collection, hazard assessment, and contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; 2+ years utility line clearance experience preferred
• Experience with tree identification and invasive species knowledge
• ISA Certification or Utility Specialist designation within first year of employment
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or in a team

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals
• Conduct tree and brush inventories
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations
• Plan work for tree contractors
• Gather and manage field data including tree species, size, and distance from conductors
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around work areas
• Enforce safety practices on the job
• Service trucks and equipment; keep gear in order
