Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to perform outdoor vegetation management alongside utility clients, property owners, and contractors.

This role focuses on safe, sustainable pruning and removal work across diverse landscapes to protect power delivery infrastructure. The position requires a forestry degree with 2+ years in utility line clearance, strong tree identification and GIS/data collection skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; 2+ years utility line clearance experience
• ISA/utility specialist certification within first year is preferred
• Proficient in map navigation and GIS data collection

Responsibilities

• Conduct pruning/removal work with safety protocols
• Perform tree and brush inventories and hazard assessments
• Plan work for contractors and coordinate with property owners/public agencies
• Gather and validate field data; species, size, distance from conductors
• Maintain safe working conditions and enforce on-site safety practices
• Operate service trucks and ensure equipment is kept in good order
