Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to work outdoors managing vegetation for utility clients across diverse landscapes. You will plan, data-collect, and supervise pruning and removals while collaborating with property owners and contractors.

The role requires species identification, hazard assessment, and the ability to travel in varied terrain. Excellent communication and safety focus are essential as you contribute to community protection and reliable power

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field with 2+ years in utility line clearance.
• ISA Certified Arborist or Utility specialist within first year.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning/removals.
• Plan work for tree contractors and conduct hazard inspections.
• Gather field data including species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Ensure data accuracy across databases and reporting.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards at work sites.
