Job summary
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Amarillo District is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Tech IV for Perryton, TX. The role involves outdoor maintenance, operating heavy equipment, traffic control, and assisting the public during emergencies.
Ability to work with private entities and follow standard practices with minimal supervision is required. Minimum qualifications include 3 years of related experience (or substituted by relevant training) and a valid Texas CDL for equipment
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, or related work experience.
- Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications: technical training or education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Must have a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License for equipment operation at time of application.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine roadway maintenance and repairs.
- Operate light and heavy equipment.
- Assist with traffic control and public assistance during emergencies.
- Work with private entities and follow standard practices with minimal supervision.
