Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking an Outdoor Technician to maintain exterior resort areas and support the resort appearance team. The position is full‑time with year‑round opportunities and offers pay between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include snow removal, landscaping, event setup/breakdown, and daily coordination with supervisors. The role requires outdoor work in all weather with reliable attendance and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Reliable attendance.
• Attention to detail and good communication.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with snow removal around the resort: shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding.
• Landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, beds care.
• Help with setup, maintenance and breakdown of events.
• Coordinate daily/weekly tasks with supervisors and leads.
• Assist indoor custodial teams when volumes require: cleaning, painting, etc.
• Manage vehicles, tools and inventory of supplies.
• Prepare daily logs/incident reports and attend safety meetings.

Position Summary

The Outdoor Technician will be responsible for upkeep of exterior resort areas. The Outdoor Technician will work closely with the Resort Appearance Manager, department supervisors, and janitorial team. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the resort remains safe, clean, and maintained for all resort guests and employees. This is a full-time position with seasonal and year-round opportunities, compensated between $20.00-$22.00/hr, based on experience.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Assist with snow removal around the resort: shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding
• Landscaping duties such as: mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, weeding beds, shoveling, etc.
• Helping with the setup, maintenance and break down of events
• Coordinating daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads
• Help with daily setup and break down of all lodge area's
• Empty trash bins, recycling bins, compost bins and pick up ground litter around the resort
• Prepare reports of daily logs and incidents
• Attend department safety meetings
• Manage and maintain vehicles, tools, and keep inventory of supplies
• Assist indoor custodial teams when business volumes require: cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash bins, painting, etc.
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required
• Experience with snow removal and/or landscaping is a plus
• Valid Driver's license
• Must be 18+ years of age
