Qualifications

• One year of experience as an Engineering Technician or three years as a member of a survey corps with duties operating standard and electronic surveying instruments.
• One year of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• PA residency requirement and ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Field Measurement: Collect precise data using conventional, electronic, and GPS surveying tools.
• Data Recording: Document traverse points, topography points, cross sections, and control references.
• Equipment Handling: Operate, maintain, and care for surveying tools while clearing sight paths and driving stakes.
• Digital Processing: Upload and download survey data using computer programs to prepare reports and plans.
• Survey Support: Assist the supervisor with field notes, sketches, and complex mathematical reviews.
• Safety Practices: Flag traffic and follow safe work procedures to protect the survey team.
