Job summary

High Steel Structures in Lancaster, PA, is hiring a 3rd-shift Outdoor Industrial Skilled Laborer. The role runs Mon–Thu, 8:30pm–7:00am, with a 25% shift differential for 4 nights per week. Work involves pre-punching holes, matching plates, guiding Mi-Jack, and assisting with on-site iron work and loading.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, are comfortable outdoors year-round, and hold a PA driver's license. Prior rigging/steel erec­tion experience is preferred and a forklift cert is a plus.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather.
• Experience in steel erection or general labor preferred.
• Rigging experience desired; hand and power tools experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred or willing to obtain on the job.
• PA driver's license required; truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience operating yard crane or travel lift a plus.
• Willingness to learn Mi-Jack equipment and read/write directions.

Responsibilities

• Pre-punch or pre-drill holes at splice sections of steel bridge girders.
• Match marks and guide MI Jack; secure loads for transport.
• Assist with on-site iron work duties and loading operations.
• Use electric drills to drill holes as needed.
• Follow directions and work safely outdoors in all weather.

We are currently hiring for a 3rd-shift Outdoor Industrial Skilled Laborer, in Lancaster, PA.

Third-shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential, and work 4 nights per week, Mon-Thurs, 8:30pm - 7:00am.

Description:

• - Will Perform all required duties to pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice section of steel bridge girders.
• - Will match mark plates, as necessary.
• - Will walk with and guide the MI Jack; chain products to trucks; set blocking for loading and storing products.
• - Will assist with onside iron work duties.
• - Will be responsible to use electric drills to drill holes where needed.

Our next co-worker will ideally possess the following:

• - A high school diploma or GED
• - Willingness work outdoors, 100% of the time, in all weather conditions, is required.
• - Previous steel erection (iron worker) or general laborer experience preferred.
• - Previous rigging experience desired.- Experience using hand and power tools, include drills.
• - Forklift certification desired, or willingness to obtain while on the job.
• - A valid PA driver's license is required.
• - Prior experience in truck driving preferred
• - Experience operating a yard crane or travel lift a plus
• - Willingness to learn and operate Mi-Jack equipment
• - The ability to read, write, and follow directions.
