Job summary

High Steel Structures, part of The High Companies, in Lancaster, PA, seeks experienced Coating Specialists/Industrial Painters for a 3rd shift (Mon–Thu, 8:30 pm–7:00 am) with a 25% shift differential. You’ll prepare metal surfaces and apply standard finishes to machined parts and steel bridge components.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, prior painting using a spray gun, and optional sandblasting or powder coating experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous painting experience with a spray gun preferred.
• Sandblasting or powder coating experience is a plus.
• Ability to work from prints/specifications and using adjustable layout/measuring instruments; apply coatings to steel beams and cross members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces and apply standard finishes (paint, metalizing) to machined parts.
• Apply coatings to steel bridge beams and cross members according to specs.
• Work from prints and specification tables.
• Operate within 3rd shift schedule and maintain safety and quality standards.

We are actively seeking experienced Coating Specialists/Industrial Painters to join our 3rd-shift team in Lancaster, PA.

Schedule:Monday - Thursday: 8:30 pm to 7:00 am.

3rd shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential on top of their hourly base rate!

Coating Specialists/Painters are responsible for performing various tasks to prepare metal surfaces and apply standard finishes to machined parts. These finishes include but are not limited to paint and metalizing.

Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:

• A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required
• Previous painting experience, using spray gun, desired
• Sandblasting or powder coating experience a plus!
• The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments, as well as applying specified coatings to steel bridge beams and cross members is necessary.
