Job summary

The High Companies are hiring a 1st-shift Outdoor Skilled Laborer to support steel structure fabrication and loading operations in Williamsport, PA. You will perform outdoor tasks, drill holes, guide Mi-Jack equipment, and assist with iron work, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be willing to work in all weather, and have or be willing to obtain forklift certification. Truck driving experience and a PA driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather conditions.
• Previous steel erection or general laborer experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools, including drills.
• Forklift certification desired, or willingness to obtain on the job.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Prior truck driving experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and operate Mi-Jack equipment.
• A valid PA driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice sections of steel bridge girders.
• Match mark plates as necessary.
• Guide MI Jack, secure products to trucks, and set blocking for loading and storage.
• Assist with onside iron work duties.
• Use electric drills to drill holes where needed.

We are currently hiring for a 1st-shift Outdoor Skilled Laborer.

Description

• Will Perform all required duties to pre-punch or pre-drilled holes at splice section of steel bridge girders.
• Will match mark plates, as necessary.
• Will walk with and guide the MI Jack; chain products to trucks; set blocking for loading and storing products.
• Will assist with onside iron work duties.
• Will be responsible to use electric drills to drill holes where needed.

Our next co-worker will ideally possess the following:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Willingness work outdoors, 100% of the time, in all weather conditions, is required.
