Job summary

High Steel Structures LLC is seeking qualified welder/fabricators with 1–3 years of experience in D1.1 or D1.5 welding. 3rd shift, Mon-Thurs 8:30 PM–7:00 AM, with a 25% shift differential.

Responsibilities include fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding to assemble structural steel units, including bridges and building products. Qualifications include high school diploma or GED; experience with Stick, MIG, SAW; ability to read prints; able to pass welding certification tests.

  • Work on bridges and building products.
  • Follow prints and specifications; maintain quality and safety.

At High Steel Structures, we don't just fabricate steel, we forge the backbone of America's infrastructure. With over one million tons of structural steel fabricated in the past two decades, we've earned our reputation as the fabricator of choice for complex bridge and transportation projects across North America.

High Steel is seeking qualified welder/fabricators with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in either D1.1 or D1.5 welding. For those with only D1.1 experience, we offer classroom and on-the-job mentoring through High Steel University for experienced welders to gain their D1.5 certifications.

3rd-shift operates four nights per week, Mon - Thurs 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM. (Your standard work week ends on Fri 7:00 AM.)

3rd-shift coworkers also receive a 25% shift differential!

Must be flexible and available to work overtime as requested or per business demand.

Welders / Fabricators are responsible for performing various fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate various structural steel units, including bridges and other building products.

Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required. High school or post-secondary coursework or degree in welding/fabrication highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated welding experience, including Stick, MIG, and/or Submerged Arc desired.
  • The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments critical.
  • Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.
