Job summary

Christy Sports, a leader in outdoor specialty retail, seeks an Assistant Store Manager for the Big Sky location. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, maintaining presentation, and delivering top-tier guest experiences.

You will help manage inventory, display eye-catching merchandising, and develop a high-performing team. Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year retail experience (preferably snow sports), and proven leadership with coaching skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of retail experience, ideally in snow sports.
• Led teams (minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity) and coaching.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in driving sales and guest experience.
• Support inventory management and visual displays; coach and train team members.
• Step in as acting manager when needed and lead daily operations.
• Recruiting, onboarding, and development of a high-performing team.
• Monitor expenses and schedule staff within budget; ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain brand-aligned merchandising and cleanliness.
• Communicate clearly between Store Manager and team.
