Sun & Ski Sports in Park City, UT, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager. This role leads a dynamic team to deliver exceptional customer service, oversee ski/bike services, and drive sales.

You will mentor staff, analyze performance, and implement store initiatives to enhance profitability and the customer experience. The position requires a hands-on leader with a passion for cycling, skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities, plus strong communication and operational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a management role leading teams.
• 2+ years in retail or outdoor sports industry preferred.
• Proven ability to motivate teams, drive sales and store profitability.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, shrink reduction and inventory control.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with vendors, staff and leadership.
• Experience in recruiting, interviewing and developing employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the store team delivers outstanding customer service.
• Support high-quality ski and bike services.
• Mentor and train staff on selling strategies and development.
• Develop and execute business plans based on sales data and goals.
• Identify issues in-store operations and implement solutions.
• Maintain engaging store presentation aligned with brand standards.
• Adhere to Sun & Ski Sports policies and procedures.
• Attend product knowledge clinics in-store and off-site.
• Represent the brand in local community outreach and events.
• Manage store expenses and payroll efficiently.
• Maintain communication with store leadership and home office.
