Backcountry is seeking a highly motivated Retail Assistant Manager to support our Store Manager in Utah's brick-and-mortar location. You will oversee daily operations, inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure a premier shopping experience.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in retail management, passion for outdoor gear, strong communication, and leadership skills, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in retail management.
• Passion for outdoor activities and knowledge of outdoor gear.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the retail store.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized and well-stocked.
• Assist in opening and closing the store.
• Manage cash and daily reconciliations.
• Train and supervise retail staff to ensure knowledge of processes and products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to build loyalty.
• Assist in marketing and promotional activities to increase sales.
