Job summary

Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc. in Michigan seeks a quality control technician to assist in testing materials and pavement to codes and specs. You will obtain samples and perform tests on aggregates, asphalt mixtures, and concrete, and prepare reports with QC charts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain MDOT Bituminous and Hot Mix Asphalt certifications.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Obtain samples and perform tests, calculations, and inspections of aggregates, asphalt mixtures, and/or concrete mixes, and in place materials.
• Prepare reports, QC charts, and graphs, and maintain accurate statistical records according to established procedures.
• Assist in the operation, maintenance, and control of test equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
• Assist in the operation, maintenance, and control of work area, equipment, and supplies, in compliance with safety regulations
