Job summary

GSM Outdoors is seeking a Product Development Mechanical Engineer to drive the design and development of consumer outdoor products from concept to production. You will work with Designers, Brand Managers, Project Managers, and manufacturing partners to deliver functional, manufacturable solutions that meet performance and cost targets.

The ideal candidate excels at hands-on prototyping, testing, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to bring innovative outdoor products to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical/product design experience focused on consumer products.
• 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks CAD.
• Experience with GD&T and 2D/3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical engineering projects from concept through production with cross-functional teams.
• Develop part, component, sub-assembly, and assembly designs and documentation.
• Translate concepts into manufacturable engineering solutions and validate with prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with factories and manufacturing partners to resolve engineering and production challenges.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support production release.
