Job summary

GSM Outdoors is seeking a Product Designer to drive concept development and bring innovative outdoor products to life. You will collaborate with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs meet consumer needs and brand standards.

The role emphasizes design for manufacturing, prototyping, and maintaining design documentation throughout the product development lifecycle, with strong emphasis on communication and ownership of multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Industrial Design; relevant experience accepted.
• 3+ years designing consumer products, outdoor experience preferred.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator; CAD experience a plus.
• Understanding of industrial design principles and consumer product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product concepts for outdoor sporting goods, tools, accessories, and consumer products.
• Participate in full product development from ideation through final product completion.
• Create concept sketches and visual concepts to communicate design direction.
• Research consumer needs, market trends, and emerging design trends to inform development.
• Ensure designs balance consumer needs, aesthetics, brand identity, cost, and manufacturability.
