Job summary

Mosquito Joe is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our Marietta, GA area team. If you're organized and motivated, this role offers growth across a range of areas within a fast-growing, locally owned franchise.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, pest treatments for mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks, and building strong customer relationships. A valid driver's license and state certification are required, with opportunities for professional development and bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have some previous experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment.
• Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week.
• Availability during blackout periods (no PTO) - week before/after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle to complete daily routes.
• Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests.
• Explain expectations for services and procedures while maximizing up-sale opportunities.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and professional conduct in the field.
• Maintain chemical and operational records per state requirements.
• Handle pesticides safely following state and federal regulations.
• Complete pesticide certification requirements and continuing education.
• Able to walk properties with equipment weighing 60lbs for long periods in typical Georgia temperatures.
• Contribute to company growth by establishing rapport with potential customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
