Job summary

Mosquito Joe is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our Chestnut Mountain team. The role involves safely driving a company vehicle, inspecting and treating for mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks, and providing excellent customer service in outdoor settings.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, outdoor work experience, a valid driver’s license, and are able to lift 60 lbs. Flexible hours and a 40-hour workweek are expected; training and certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle to complete daily routes.
• Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests.
• Explain to customers the expectations for services and procedures while maximizing up-sale opportunities.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships by being professional in the field.
• Maintain chemical and operational records per state requirements.
• Handle pesticides safely in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Complete pesticide certification requirements and continuing education.
