Job summary

Mosquito Joe is seeking a Pest Control Technician to service residential and commercial properties in Canton, GA. This role requires safely operating a company vehicle, inspecting and treating for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests, and clearly explaining services to customers.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, outdoor work experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift at least 60 lbs. Flexible hours and certification requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to pass a background check and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle to complete daily routes.
• Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests.
• Explain to the customer expectations for services while maximizing up-sale opportunities.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships by being professional in the field.
• Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements.
• Maintain clean and well-organized service vehicles.
• Handle pesticides in a safe manner in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Complete pesticide certification requirements and continuing education requirements.
• Walk customer property while carrying equipment weighing 60 lbs or more in typical Georgia temperatures.
• Contribute to the growth of the Company by establishing rapport with potential customers.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
