Job summary

Training to obtain CDL Class A/B will be provided, with emphasis on safety and efficient, reliable roadside work. The position offers a 4-day summer schedule, 40-hour weeks with overtime during weather events, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Strong commitment to working safely.
• Desire to learn and adapt.
• Wants to work outdoors and enjoys physically demanding work.
• Works well in a team and communicates clearly, especially in safety-critical situations.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes could be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment (e.g., tandem dump truck, loader, tractor mower).
• Mowing grass and weeds; removing debris from roadways and culverts.
• Digging ditches; installing and repairing guardrail, signs, and markings.
• Setting out traffic control devices and handling emergency traffic management.
• Maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs; following safety procedures and using PPE.
