Job summary

GardenCore LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, knuckle booms, bulldozers, wheel loaders, and all-terrain forklifts in a rugged 50+ acre outdoor environment. Operators will move bulk material in a manufacturing setting while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, reading specifications, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining daily reports.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience using heavy equipment/front end loader.
• Able to work safely in a busy mulch yard, judging distances and operating equipment with precision.
• Able to read and write in English and record numerical values.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs., stand/walk/sit, bend, climb and work in extreme outdoor conditions.
• Able to work in dusty, hot and/or cold environments and to operate independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Inspect and complete equipment reports daily.
• Able to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver the equipment cab.
• Other duties as assigned.
