Job summary

The GardenCore Loader Operator will operate heavy equipment in a safe, efficient manner to produce high-quality mulch, soil, stone, and lime products. Responsibilities include reading specs, setting guides to lengths, monitoring for malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, and completing daily equipment reports.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and pass internal certification; ability to lift up to 65 lbs; strong teamwork and independent work skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years related experience in trades.
• Must pass an internal certification program.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Inspect and complete equipment report daily.
• Maintain a clean and orderly assigned area.
• Move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and operate steering wheel.
• Other duties as assigned.
