Job summary

Environmental Resources Group is seeking a dependable Landscape Laborer to support year-round grounds maintenance at a secure government facility in Langley, Virginia. The role involves maintaining lawns, planting areas, walkways, and outdoor spaces under supervision, with a hands-on approach and teamwork.

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, roughly 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with extended hours during snow and severe-weather events.

Qualifications

• Grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with landscape tools is a plus.
• Reliable, on-time attendance for an early-morning shift.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor labor.
• Must meet government facility eligibility and security access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, pruning, mulching, planting, leaf removal, cleanup).
• Operate commercial landscaping tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Load, unload, move, and organize tools, materials, plants, and debris.
• Keep lawns, beds, walkways, and common areas neat, safe, and presentable.
• Follow crew-leader instructions and complete assigned work efficiently.
• Inspect tools before use and report equipment damage or maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety practices and site-specific security procedures.
• Assist with seasonal projects and other grounds maintenance duties as assigned.
• Participate in snow and ice removal operations, including extended shifts as needed.
