Job summary

Williamsburg Landing is seeking a Landscape/Grounds person to support campus care and maintenance under supervision. The role involves planting, lawn care, irrigation maintenance, and seasonal cleanup across residential and public areas.

The candidate will follow safety standards, perform physically demanding tasks, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. A Virginia driver’s license is required, with snow removal equipment experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of landscaping experience.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Ability to read and follow grounds maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Implements landscape designs in residential and public areas.
• Prepares soil for planting grass, flowers, and shrubs.
• Installs sod, seeds and re-plants vegetation.
• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems and drainage.
• Mows lawns, trims shrubs, prunes trees and removes debris.
• Operates and cares for landscaping equipment safely.
• Works in outdoor environments across seasons.
