Job summary

Bland Landscaping Company is seeking a Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Member in Charlotte, NC. The role is hands-on, year-round landscaping support for commercial properties, with training provided by the Crew Leader and opportunities to assist in multiple divisions.

Responsibilities include landscape tasks, equipment handling, and seasonal snow removal. A valid NC driver’s license and ability to pass a background check are required; pesticide license may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Ability to bend and stoop continually.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to obtain an NCDA pesticide applicator’s license.
• Must wear PPE and safety gear as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Leader in training on all aspects of commercial grounds maintenance.
• Dig, plant, rake, water, and clean up landscapes.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Ensure collection and inventory of company-owned equipment and tools daily.
• Assist in other divisions such as installation or floriculture as needed.
• Assist with snow removal operations during winter months, as required.
• Maintain reliable transportation to and from the branch location.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment (mowers, turf tools, power tools, hand tools).
