Job summary

Bland Landscaping Company in the United States is seeking a Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader to supervise a year-round crew delivering commercial grounds maintenance. The role combines field production with planning, administrative, and safety responsibilities on-site.

You will train staff, manage daily workloads, coordinate equipment and materials, and maintain strong client relations while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NC Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred).
• Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide Applicator’s License.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of grounds maintenance services.
• Plan and manage daily workloads to ensure efficiency.
• Plan, coordinate, and collect necessary equipment and job materials each day.
• Attend and actively participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
• Perform mowing, raking, digging, and weeding of commercial landscapes.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation controllers and adjust settings as needed.
• Safely operate mowers, string trimmers, edgers, pruners, chainsaws, and backpack blowers.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Prepare daily reports for work as required by the company.
• Maintain on-site relations and professional communications with clients and contractors.
• Safely drive company-owned vehicles to transport crew members.
