Job summary

Gorman & Company is seeking a dependable Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician for our Atlanta, GA communities. You’ll maintain grounds, perform light repairs, and assist with make-readies to welcome new residents. This outdoor role emphasizes safety, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous maintenance and groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds to keep properties attractive, safe, and well-kept, including mowing, trimming, watering, weeding, and seasonal upkeep.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs in apartments and common areas: plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, lock changes, fixtures.
• Assist with apartment make-readies by cleaning, painting, and preparing units for new residents.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs and participate in on-call rotation when required.
• Support inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies; assist outside vendors as needed.
• Interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors to provide excellent customer service.
