Job summary

Augment is hiring a General Laborer to support day-to-day cleaning and maintenance at a busy waste and recycling facility in Fairfax, VA. You will work outdoors, stay active, and contribute to a safe, organized yard with a hardworking team.

This hands-on role involves assisting with debris cleanup, pressure washing, tool organization, and light maintenance tasks. Candidates must be reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, sanitation, construction, or warehouse work is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean up debris, trash, and loose materials around the yard, shop, and work areas.
• Assist with pressure washing, sweeping, and general cleaning of buildings, pads, and containers.
• Organize tools, equipment, and parts in the yard or shop area.
• Support small maintenance tasks such as painting, organizing parts, or preparing containers.
• Perform minor landscaping or grounds maintenance duties.
• Help direct trucks or equipment traffic when needed.
• Follow all site safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Report any safety concerns or hazards to site supervisors immediately.
