Sports Basement is hiring for a Staffer to lead in-store zones with minimal supervision while delivering WOW customer service. You’ll report to management and help guide the day-to-day operations on the sales floor, uplifting staff and ensuring department goals are met.

You’ll work in a dynamic retail environment, talking about outdoor gear with a wide range of customers, and you’ll flex between zones to support teams and maintain brand standards.

Formación

• Previous retail or industry experience and a desire to grow into a leadership role.
• Passionate sports or outdoor enthusiast is a plus.
• Ability to create a WOW experience for every customer.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and staff.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability as your role day to day might change.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds, bend down repeatedly, and stand for the majority of a shift.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Time management skills and problem-solving skills.
• Internal Candidates: Awareness of business tools including Google Docs, Shopify, POS systems, Winterstieger, Sales Saver, Lightspeed and Fiori.
• Available to work during operating hours including most weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Train SB staff when needed to utilize SB tools to create WOW experiences.
• Expert in home zone/department and proficient in one other department to provide excellent on-the-spot customer service.
• POS Level 4 compliance as part of Senior Staffer requirements.
• Learn to implement SB's Security Policy.
• Identify merch priorities for their zone/department and create a daily plan of action.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the zone/department.
• Collaborate with Merchandising to create engaging displays.
• Ensure incoming product is merchandised efficiently, effectively, and safely.
• Maintain open communication with staff and be approachable.
• Participate in zone/department trainings and clinics.
• Act as training point person for staff when needed.
• Stay up-to-date with company information and department initiatives.
• Track daily goals and store performance against targets.
• Assist to complete daily operations in the assigned zone/department.
• Seek improvement opportunities for the zone/department.
• Communicate clearly and foster a positive, fun vibe.
