Job summary

Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is hiring Maintenance Workers in the Maintenance Division. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting wage of $22.90–$25.20 per hour, DOQ.

You’ll maintain Ada County roads, sidewalks, drainage, and right-of-way, operate equipment, and respond to winter snow events. Qualified applicants include Idaho driver’s licenses and the ability to obtain Idaho CDL within six months.

Qualifications

• Possess Idaho driver's license.
• Within six months, obtain Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement with ACHD's assistance.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as rollers, skid steers, and other maintenance equipment.
• Perform heavy manual work to construct, maintain, and repair roadways, sidewalks, and drainage structures.
• Help with winter maintenance by operating snow removal equipment and applying sand/deicer.
• Respond to roadway emergencies and maintenance requests as part of a team focused on safety and reliability.
• Work with others to get the job done right every day.
