Job summary

Ada County Highway District (ACHD) in Boise, Idaho, is seeking General Equipment Operators to join the Maintenance Team. The role involves operating a range of equipment and supporting the community by maintaining roads and infrastructure year-round.

The starting wage is 23.80–26.20 per hour, with a potential sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and opportunities across Grade, Utility, Broom, Vegetation, or Drainage Crews. A CDL and tanker endorsement are required or achievable within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement required.
• Ability to obtain tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light, medium, and heavy equipment (dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, sweepers, loaders, backhoes).
• Perform road/sidewalk/storm drain/concrete structure maintenance and repair.
• Respond to winter weather emergencies and apply sand/deicer to road surfaces.
