Job summary

Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is hiring Maintenance Workers in the Maintenance Division. These are full-time, non-exempt positions with a starting wage of $22.90-$25.20 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Applicants must have an Idaho driver’s license and ideally be able to obtain an Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months of employment. ACHD offers solid benefits and a path to growth.

Qualifications

• Idaho driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within six months of employment.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as rollers, skid steers, and other light/medium maintenance equipment.
• Perform heavy manual work to construct, maintain, and repair roadways, sidewalks, storm drains, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with winter snow removal and apply sand/deicer to road surfaces.
• Respond to roadway emergencies, work orders, debris, and other maintenance needs.
• Work as part of a team emphasizing safety, reliability, and getting the job done.
