Job summary

Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Community Porter in San Marcos, TX FLATZ 512 site to maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of the apartment community. You’ll assist with trash pickup, sweeping, pressure washing, light landscaping, and prep of vacant apartments while supporting the maintenance team.

Independence, reliability, and safety-mindedness are essential, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in groundskeeping, janitorial services, or general maintenance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and landscaping practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry room, mail areas, and pool areas.
• Conduct regular trash pickup on property grounds and around dumpsters.
• Sweep, pressure wash, and blow breezeways, sidewalks, stairwells, and parking lots to maintain safety and appearance.
• Assist with basic landscaping tasks such as weeding, raking, and watering to enhance curb appeal.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by removing trash and debris and cleaning patios.
• Support the maintenance team with minor tasks, including changing bulbs and unclogging drains.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity promptly.
• Maintain and store tools and supplies safely.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
