Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts in Bridgton, ME is hiring for a Ground Operations Technician / Arborist Trainee. The role offers $19-$21 per hour, depending on experience, and no prior tree-industry experience is required with free on-the-job training.

The job involves learning felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation and vegetation management, with opportunities for licensing, certifications, and wage increases as you progress. This is a full-time, year-round outdoor labor position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a HS diploma or GED.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to perform physical labor and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain CDL A or B license.

Responsibilities

• Manual vegetation removal from work areas.
• Pesticide application and equipment operation.
• Operate forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs).
• Perform line clearance, pruning and removals.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
