Lucas Tree Experts, Waterford, CT, is seeking an Arborist Trainee for full-time outdoor work. Learn tree care: felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management with free on-the-job training.

Salary ranges from 18 to 25.50 hourly; company offers licensing support, pathway to CDL, and wage increases for certifications. Must be 18+, physically capable, and able to work 45 hours weekly in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Full-time, year-round outdoor labor.
• On-the-job training provided including CDL preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manual removal of vegetation from work areas.
• Pesticide application.
• Safely operating forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs).
• Performing line clearance, pruning and removals.
