Lucas Tree Experts in Milbridge, ME seeks a Ground Operations Technician / Arborist Trainee. The role involves outdoor, physically demanding work with training provided on-the-job and opportunities to obtain licenses and certifications.

You will assist with vegetation management, equipment operation, and line clearance while progressing toward professional arborist qualifications. No prior tree-industry experience is required, and licensing costs are supported.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• 18 years or older with HS diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Physically able to perform duties (walk on uneven ground, carry up to 75 lbs).
• Willing to learn to operate bucket truck and other equipment safely.
• CDL A or B license is required or obtainable.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Manual vegetation removal from work areas.
• Operate forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs).
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient outdoor worksite.
